The Jacksonville Chapter welcomes you
to our web page. We are very excited about what's new for 2009. We are gearing up for Coding on the River
which is hosted by all of the local chapters in the Jacksonville area. If you are interested in volunteering with setting
up this event, please contact me or any of the local chapter officers. Your help with this event is greatly appreciated!
The Jacksonville Chapter promotes visibility of the Academy and offers support
on a local level for AAPC members to remain current on coding issues. We provide local networking opportunities
through our monthly meetings and quality educational programs in an attempt to learn about new procedures and how to
code for those procedures. We recognize that keeping up with coding trends is one of the success factors in maintaining
our credentials so that members may expand their horizons and enhance their skills.
If there are specific topics or workshops that are offered by the AAPC that
you would like to see presented in Jacksonville, please let us know. We welcome your suggestions to make our
chapter the best that it can be.
Our
chapter meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm at Nemours Children’s Clinic, 807 Children’s Way,
10th floor, in Jacksonville, FL. Free parking is available. A nominal cost of $3 per adults and
$2 per child is to help defray the costs of the meeting. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are generally
offered at each monthly meeting.
Our ultimate goal is to maintain our
CPC certification and assist others who are working towards becoming a Certified Professional Coder. Thank
you for visiting our web site. We hope to see you at one of our chapter meetings soon!
