The River City Chapter, established in Jacksonville in 1998 is one of the many strong local chapters of the American Academy of Professional Coders. 

In 2005 three local area chapters joined forces to provide the best ongoing education possible!  Our most proud endeavor is the success of Coding on the River!  The 2005 conference was the first ever AAPC local chapter sponsored event of it's kind in Jacksonville!  Due to it's great success we continue to co-sponsor Coding on the River!  Coding on the River 2009 was our 5th anniversary and was one of our best ever!
